Castle Gamba of Châtillon
Castle Gamba of Châtillon – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of the Aosta Valley hosts the exhibition Ritornanti. Presence of figurative art in Italian sculpture from 3rd July to 27th September 2020. The exhibition aims at stimulating a indepth analysis on the presence of figuration in Italian sculpture, in a close relationship between the masters of the twentieth century and the artists of recent generations. The exhibition, curated by Domenico Maria Papa, presents a review on Italian sculpture through works by: Arturo Martini, Francesco Messina, Giuseppe Maraniello, Giuliano Vangi, Luciano Minguzzi, Paolo Delle Monache and Giacomo Manzù. These are accompanied by 6 sculptures by Aron Demetz. The exhibition is completed by 12 graphics by Mimmo Paladino dedicated to Pinocchio and black and white photographs of photographer Carola Allemandi, made specifically for the occasion.
